EXHIBITION JAPAN
mt art project
There are many artists all over the world who are creating arts with tape. The range of its expression has been expanding year by year to fine art, installation, street art, illustration, and typography.
“mt art project”, the exhibition collecting the artworks created by tape artists from inside and outside Japan will be held to introduce you the world of tape art. Please enjoy the various expressions created with “mt”.
For the exhibition venue, we have selected fascinating spaces centered on closed schools all over the country. We hope you will experience and enjoy our art project.

DASMO
The sculpture design of "DASMO" was developed by Infra, the idea for the surface design came from Adrian Dittert and me.
The basic concept was to create a sculpture that is easy to transport. Infra cut two rectangles into triangles of different sizes and put them together.
The end result is a sculpture that plays with perception, shape and color.

LIMIT
Since I started tape art I work on pushing the limits of tape as a medium.
Smooth gradients are one of the things that logically you can‘t really do with tape. In the 3331 art gallery in Tokyo I decided to tape one of four room corners in a gradient pattern that I developed in recent years.
In this art work I tried to break the limitations of the medium and create a space in which our perception of what is present dissolves.

This Artwork has a very special reference to me.
In an abstract form it reflects the relationship between two brothers. I created this Artwork in the first days of the Japan tour that I did with Tape That in 2020.I couldn't wait to get started, that I spent 2-3 hours working on this piece in my room every evening after we finished working on the main installations.
