In seiner ersten Einzelausstellung „Homegrown“ (Juli–August 2023) erkundet Atau Hámos Herkunft und Identität. Seine Bildsprache greift Farbpaletten und Strukturen der urbanen Ästhetik Berlins auf – unkonventionell, visuell überladen, ständig im Wandel. Geprägt wurde sein Ansatz früh durch den Dialog mit seinen Eltern, beide etablierte Medienkünstler. Neben den Werken der Homegrown-Serie (u. a. „Kotti“, „Restless“, „Mama“) überträgt eine räumliche Installation seine Bildsprache in die Galerie in St Julians.

We proudly present Atau Hámos, an artist from Berlin with whom we have teamed up to organise his first solo show here in Malta.

Our vision is to connect and empower artists from all over the world and showcase their groundbreaking art.

2B Gallery provides a platform for artists to experiment with unconvetional styles and exchange ideas with other creatives in the center of Malta, right in St Julians.

HOMEGROWN SERIES

In the Homegrown series Atau Hámos deals with the themes identity and origin. His visual language picks up colour palettes and diverse structures that can be found in the urban aesthetics of Berlin.

In doing so, he addresses personal feelings as well as growing up in an unconventional city.

Atau‘s work is characterised by visual diversity and a high degree of detail.
